It depends If it s a PAID internship then no problem the more you do the more experience you get The less you do the faster you graduate You ll always be qualified for a job once you graduate but of course SpaceX will be looking for people who ve applied themselves previously which means while still in school So I had a job interview at spacex and when it came down to salary I asked for around 80k and they told me that was too high based on my experience so I just let them send me an offer and they only offered me 72k I live on the east coast and make 70k now and based on CoL Glassdoor and gauging other engineers

Earlier this week I applied for the summer 2021 internship co op program After applying I received a confirmation basically saying they have my info and are looking into it I submitted my cover letter and resume and answered a few basic questions about myself My GPA isn t terrible a 3 2 but the preferred GPA is a 3 5 A JPL internship looks the best on a resume IMHO and it is likely to be a very positive learning experience The SpaceX one is likely to offer you wider broader experience but would be more challenging and may burn you out too early Relativity is a solid back up option but is the least compelling
